'Phyto' is simply a prefix meaning "pertaining to or derived from plants." Phytocannabinoids are typically referred to as the naturally occurring cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. This is opposed to synthetic cannabinoids which are manufactured artificially. Phytocannabinoids do appear in other types of plants such as the Echinacea Purpurea, however researchers have found between 80 and 120 cannabinoids that naturally occur in the cannabis plant (depending on the research).
Full spectrum phytocannabinoid hemp oil contains all the naturally occurring cannabinoids and compounds found in the Industrial Hemp plant. Unlike isolated or synthetic cannabinoids, full-spectrum hemp oil contains an array of cannabinoids, as well as many essential vitamins and minerals, fatty acids, protein, chlorophyll, fiber, flavonoids, and terpenes.
The array of cannabinoids and other natural constituents found in full spectrum hemp oil have been shown in studies to work together in what’s referred to as the “entourage effect.” Together, these compounds work harmoniously to magnify their useful properties.
Post extraction, the natural state of the cannabis plant results in an oil. To make the oil water soluble, additional processing is required. There are four main ways hemp oil is consumed.
Bioavailability (the degree and rate at which a substance is absorbed into the bloodstream) varies drastically in each of these consumptions methods. Water soluble hemp oil is essential for oral consumption, whereas hemp oil in an oil state is more optimal for vaporization and sublingual consumption.
Cannabidiol ("CBD") isolate is a pure, crystalline powder that contains greater than 98% pure CBD. CBD isolate contains only CBD. All the plant matter contained in the hemp plant, including oils, waxes, chlorophyll, and more are removed, offering a finished product that’s CBD and nothing more.
NOTE: Vitalibis is a full spectrum brand and does not use CBD Isolate in any products.
No, Copaiba Oil and CBD Oil are not the same. As a reminder, there are different types of oils to consider when discussing “CBD Oil” – full spectrum hemp oil, broad spectrum hemp oil and oil made with CBD isolate. None of these are the same as Copaiba Oil.
While both Copaiba and CBD oils come from vegetation and have been around for centuries, they are not similar. Copaiba oil is derived from the thick dark brown resin that seeps out the cracks of the Copaifera tree, whereas CBD oil traditionally extracted from cannabis.
This comparison is often confused because CBD and Copaiba Oil both contain beta-caryophyllene — Copaiba Oil contains much more caryophyllene, however. Many brands and websites promote Copaiba Oil as a cannabinoid when it is actually a terpene. This is important because terpenes are not considered to be as strong as cannabinoids. CBD is a popular and well-known cannabinoid.
In the Spring of 2019, Visa made a decision to stop processing credit card transactions with United States banks if the total transaction amount was less than $200,000 to $250,000 (per our credit card processing bank). To allow us to process Visa and American Express card transactions, we activated our UK credit card processing alliance. Given this, you may receive an international credit card processing fee per transaction. This fee is not assessed nor collected by Vitalibis and is dependent on the rules for the bank you use for your credit card.
Quality and safety are paramount to Vitalibis. We have strict guidelines and protocols.
The Vitalibis Signature full spectrum hemp oils are tested in three distinct stages during the supply chain process and always use independent, third-party testing laboratories. The first testing is performed after the Industrial Hemp is sourced. We source organically grown Industrial Hemp from Colorado and test it for heavy metals, fungicides and pesticide residue. The second testing is performed after the oil is extracted. Here we test for cannabinoid potency and the terpene profile. The third testing is performed after we fill the oil into the bottles at our certified cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) facility. In this third stage, we test for bacteria and other microbials.
For our other products, we follow strict testing protocols which are standard for the skincare and dietary supplement industry. All of our products are manufactured within cGMP facilities and utilize independent, third party testing laboratories.
A nice benefit of coconut oil is its abundance of saturated fats, particularly medium chain triglycerides (MCT). Medium chain triglycerides are smaller fat molecules which are easily absorbed by the body. Fractionated coconut oil is simply just coconut oil which has had the longer fat molecules removed to isolate the medium chain triglycerides. For this reason, fractionated coconut oil is also known as MCT, oil which is one of the best carrier oils for products containing naturally occurring CBD.
Additionally, coconut oil naturally excels as a carrier oil for a variety of applications. Coconut oil has little to no flavor and is thinner than most oils.
Although we believe vaping oil is an effective method for obtaining the benefits of full spectrum hemp oil, we are extremely cautious of the actual vaping devices. There are many studies which show that vaping devices leak toxic heavy metals, which end up in the user’s lungs. Vitalibis is a brand dedicated to wellness, so at this time we are not interested in enabling, selling or supporting unsafe vape devices.
As with any dietary supplement, we recommend consulting with your physician prior to adding Vitalibis products to your daily routine. THOSE WHO SUSPECT THEY MAY HAVE A DISEASE OR ARE SEEKING HELP FOR A DISEASE SHOULD CONSULT A QUALIFIED MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL.
The Vitalibis hemp oils are full spectrum and may contain trace amounts of THC. We highly recommend refraining from using the Vitalibis hemp oil products if you are required to not fail a random or mandatory drug testing process.
Currently, Vitalibis products are only shipped within the United States. As the business continues to grow, additional markets may be opened.
